A little of my story
Why this exists
For a long time, I was drawn to observation.
Not because I had answers, but because I was curious about people, their stories, and the experiences that shape them.
Photography has been part of that work for more than a decade. For over eleven years, I have photographed families, couples, professionals, entrepreneurs, and some of the moments people most want to preserve. One of the highlights of my career was serving as the photographer for the 74th Anniversary Celebration of the Tuskegee Airmen, sponsored by Morehouse School of Medicine in 2015.
Over time, that same curiosity found its way into writing.
Writing The Imprint Remains gave language to experiences I had carried for years and revealed something I had already begun to learn through photography: most people are trying to understand themselves more clearly.
What photography taught me is the same thing the writing continues to confirm. A camera does not create the moment. It reveals it.
Whether I am holding a camera, writing a book, speaking in a room, or having a conversation, I am doing the same thing. Creating space for people to see themselves, their stories, and their possibilities a little more clearly.
That realization became the foundation for Wanda Inspires.
